Kevin reached out to give Dean a one-armed hug, too, just to reassure him. "Sorry I scared you," he said. "But we're all good now, because you're here to get us out of the woods. I'll make it out, and then I'll patch myself up, and we'll watch our movie and forget that we were actually scared. Right?"
He grinned and, after a moment, kept his arm around Dean's shoulders, slinging the other one around Su's. It was cold, and he didn't want to lose track of his friends in the woods; this seemed like a logical way to solve both problems. As for his journals, he had stuffed those into his pockets (really a much less dangerous place for them to be).
"Right," he answered his own question a few moments later. "Let's get out of here, then. Now, please."
