Who: Cerise Fortescue & Severus Snape
What: A job interview for the Divination position.
Where: Hogwarts
When: Friday afternoon.
Warnings: None?
Status: In Progress
Having been raised to be poised, polite, and well-mannered, Cerise arrived five minutes early for her scheduled interview with the Headmaster. Standing outside the gates of Hogwarts, she was dressed in elegant purple robes, cinched in at the waist to accentuate her figure, but still demure and appropriate for the meeting. Her dark hair was pulled back into a loose chignon, and though she didn't really need makeup, she had applied just enough to compliment her features. One hand lightly gripped the strap of the purse she had slung over her shoulder, and the other hung loosely at her side.
She had been waiting patiently at the gate for only a moment when a house elf popped into view just behind the gate, which opened before it. With a bow, the Elf said, "If the Mistress would please follow me?" Cerise nodded, and with a gracious smile she followed the Elf up into the castle, her heels clicking on the stone floors. Having never attended Hogwarts, she looked around with interest, noting it's differences between her former school of Beauxbatons. It was less elegant, obviously, but not without it's own charm.
She did, however, have to make sure to pay attention to the elf as he led her up moving staircases and down several hallways, towards the Headmaster's office. It wouldn't do for her to get lost on the way to her job interview, after all! As she walked, she took deep breaths. She wasn't nervous, exactly, just anxious to make a good impression. She was well aware of most peoples' opinions on Seers and the subject of Divination and she hoped the Headmaster would be open-minded. She wouldn't hesitate to prove her abilities to him if she wasn't.
Within a few moments, they reached the gargoyle which guarded the Headmaster's office entrance. As the Elf leaned in to give the password, the gargoyle leaped aside, and the wall behind it split in two to reveal a spiral stone staircase which moved slowly upward. Holding her purse tightly, in one hand, Cerise stepped onto the stairs after the Elf, readying herself as the staircase moved for her impending interview.
