Who: Zach Smith and Theo Nott What: Zach doesn't know what to think When: Friday June 10th Where: Zach's Warnings: ? Status: Incomplete
He'd been taking care of Adie since he had last heard from Colin. Having no idea how to take care of himself, Zach fell into caring for the baby, well doll baby. But still, it was someone else to take care of, and he held her, read to her, and even read more of the books on parenting. Honestly, that part wasn't the most distracting. It was only when Adie had woken up unhappy and pleasing her had taken all of his focus that Zach was truly able to feel a bit of peace. And there was the accomplishment in making her feel better.
But when Colin wrote something to him, Zach rushed to read it, still holding Adie in one arm gently against his chest. And Zach...Zach didn't know, didn't know what to say. No one...he'd never thought about- that had never crossed his mind. His father traveled all over the world, including to parts Zach was fairly certain most people didn't know existed. And, it wasn't like he could hide from his father. And Zach...for all he really didn't like about his father and his family was a Smith and was proud to be a Smith, and he didn't want to get disowned. There was over a thousand years of history there, all the way back.
Plus, well, Colin had sort of ignored the part where Zach wanted a family too. He'd lived most of his life dreading the fact he had to get married while always knowing it had to happen. And...he wasn't as opposed to it as before. And yes, he'd wondered about blokes getting married. But he didn't see why it had to be one or the other. What if he could marry both of them? What if he could marry two people? Was it so wrong that he wanted more than one important person in his life? Theo was one of the most important people in his life, but Zach sure as hell didn't want to marry him or anything.
Overall, he just didn't know what to do or what to think. And the idea of resisting his father? It...he needed to talk with someone, someone who knew at least a bit more about his father than most. Theo hadn't been privy to his conversations with his father, but he knew him, somewhat. So Zach wrote to him, that he urgently needed to talk with him. And he changed Adie again, afterward. And waited.
