"Yeah," Rose said. "I'd stay hidden, though. And just watch things. I think I'd like that." She did that as a human, too, though eventually her muscles got tired of holding still or she got hungry or thirsty or someone discovered her hiding place. Ghosts didn't seem like they would have that problem.
"Maybe that's why a lot of them don't believe in ghosts?" she said. "Because they can't see them or hear them, I mean. Even if they can feel you." She lit up. "Hey! We could still go together, and you could say things, and I'd be able to hear you and tell your parents!"
