It had been over a week since she'd died and turned into a ghost. At first, it had been awful for Su, she couldn't lie about that. She'd been devastated. Only it turned out, Kevin was a ghost too... and she'd quickly discovered that his talent for cheering her up had not disappeared in death at all. She'd always found it impossible to stay depressed around him for long. They'd spent awhile just... exploring and experimenting, trying to figure out what they could and couldn't do. Finding out that they could at least feel each other, that had been one of Su's favorite discoveries. She couldn't interact in that way with the rest of the world, but she could still hug her boyfriend. Another nifty thing they'd discovered was that no matter how far they were apart, they could always sense the other person- well, ghost- and find their way back to them. Su wasn't sure if other ghosts could do that, she just knew she and Kevin could.
Which was why she wasn't worried today, on her own for once. She knew she'd find her way back to him when she wanted to, or he'd find her. Today, she was finally going to do something she'd been thinking about for days; she was going to find her friends. She would have done it sooner, only she wasn't sure how they'd react. She wanted to give them time after the battle. But she missed them, and she wanted them to know that maybe things weren't as bad as they'd seemed. Maybe they were better!
Which was what led to Su showing up at the house they'd been staying in last, with the hope that they'd still be there. And they were, she could tell that much from glancing through the windows and spotting their stuff, and clear signs of people in residence. Floating up, Su searched until she found a room with someone in it, finally. Rose. She couldn't help but grin. Really, there were probably better ways of announcing her ghostlyness, but well... Su was Su. Plus she'd mentioned the idea to Kevin and he'd thought it was totally awesome. A Kevin stamp of approval sealed the deal for her.
With a smirk on her lips, Su floated through the walls of the house, hiding with just her eyes barely peeking out. And then, when Rosie turned to her, she sprang out of the wall and shouted, "BOO!!!"
