Theodore had not expected his greeting to make his patient look even more uncomfortable, but he supposed that wasn't unexpected. He'd decided to give his real name, should they need to contact them later. And there was no real need for subterfuge; so long as he knew very little about his patient, he could simply list him among the other people his emergency field team had assisted. Except that there wouldn't be any paperwork - the quill that usually floated beside him to take notes was absent. He moved to help Barlow onto the table he'd provided, before taking a step back to look at him.
"I'm just going to perform a routine examination," he said, his expression still calm, with a hint of a smile. His usual manner at work seemed to reassure people, and extra overtures to be reassuring seemed even more out of place in this situation than usual. "But if there's anything in particular you'd like me to look at, please tell me."
He kept his movements slow and steady as he lifted his wand, using spells to check his patient's overall health. Broken ribs, poorly healed fractures in his toes, and there was a problem with the growth of his fingernails. As he continued, he also found evidence of scarring and other breaks in his bones that were still healing, which Theodore could help along.
