One of the things Duke liked most was being able to miss his home including the city and his friends, his bed and Jager. After seeing all of those day after day, they started to lose their sparkle and became less interesting. So whenever he left to travel or go on a tour, it was always an immense pleasure to come back to his own dwelling, to know his way around and be able to use his own towels and sleep somewhere that didn't smell like disinfectant or strangers. That wasn't the only reason he left, of course, but it was a nice perk.
Duke thought about making himself another drink even though he certainly didn't need more alcohol. Without something to hold or make, his hands became idle and restless, which meant he would start fidgeting with something before long. He was an extremely tactile person and always had been. "None. I had my own things to deal with and couldn't really pay attention to what was going on here." He'd only kept up enough to make sure the entire place wasn't burning down.
Duke rolled his eyes playfully and moved in front of Marek since his gaze had locked on something to occupy his hands: Marek's tie. His fingers played with the bottom, just moving along it, curling it into random shapes which allowed a much closer conversation. "Go ahead, tell me everything I missed," he said through half a grin.
