Duke couldn't help but snort at this proclamation, even though it was very fitting. Truthfully, Duke enjoyed spending his time with people he actually knew, it was much more personable, but he had a lot of catching up to do and knew far too many people for it to be small tonight. "You challenged me to it and you showed up," Duke pointed out, though he was thoroughly amused, something Marek could easily do.
"Come on," he instructed, letting his arm slide over his shoulder and down to catch his wrist before he began pulling. The attendees barely moved for each other, but they all moved for Duke since they were there for him, and it made moving through the flat far easier. Marek was dragged along in his wake until they made it upstairs, bypassing the bedroom, to go to the sliding glass doors that opened to a balcony. It was large, fit with furniture and more drinks, and had an amazing view - no, it wasn't a view of the city lights looking like stars, but a view of some old buildings with excellent architecture.
Once they were standing there, Duke let go of his arm and took a deep breath. It really helped to clear his own mind.
