Marek couldn't remember if he'd actually thought much about Duke. Lately, he'd been distracted, first by Chas, then by Felixa. He was going to have to tell Duke about Felixa at some point, but he found himself not wanting to. There would be judgment, he knew, and probably an attempt to convince him to break her trust in favor of what Duke had to offer. And that would be a bad idea.
He liked Duke, had a lot in common with him. He wasn't sure how to strike a balance where they were hanging out and having fun without hurting Felixa, but he supposed he'd have to find a way.
"Oi, are you saying I can't get my own action?" he said with a laugh, jabbing Duke with his elbow. "I do just fine, thanks."
