Kevin was completely unaware of the type of place they were going to until they got there: all that Kingsley had given him was an address. He still disguised himself slightly, in the same way that he had done at the only uprising meeting that he had attended (the only one that had occurred, so far as he knew), in the hopes that he would be recognized. He went through the routine with Su of getting there a bit early, and parking a ways away, scouting the place out as they approached.
“Man,” he said, once they’d checked the place out, and he had figured out exactly what kind of location Kingsley had chosen. “Did I say he was the King of Awesome, or did I say he was the King of Awesome?”
That was going to be his name for the older wizard forever. Hopefully he wouldn’t slip up and say it in the man’s presence. That might be somewhat embarrassing.

Su had been just as unaware of their location as Kevin was, and when they both figured out just exactly what it was, her reply to Kevin was, "This is awesome. Yeah, you're right, he is totally the King of Awesome. I've always wanted to go to a gay bar, but I was too young and then just, well, too busy you know, being on the run. But this is so cool!!" Glancing down at herself, she wondered if she might stand out... but then again, she sort of always stood out. In a weird way, it was how she avoided being recognized. People looked at the bright clothes and the purple streaks in her hair and forgot her face.
Scooping her bag off the floor and dragging it into her lap, Su grinned over at Kevin and asked, "You ready, Agent K?" Only when he'd answered did she hope out of the car and head into the bar right beside Kevin. Glancing around the instant they stepped inside (she wanted to hold Kevin's hand, but wasn't sure how that would look in a gay bar), she tried to spot Kingsley... her eyes automatically looked towards the back, because that was where she'd have sat in this situation, and sure enough, there he was. With a tug on Kevin's arm, Su let him lead the way towards Kingsley.

Honestly, Kingsley had not ever seen much of either person who walked through the door. As they had been on the run, keeping tabs had been impossible. But that said, he had a very good memory and was quite good at spotting magical folk from muggle. Even muggle-borns were different than muggles, even though they knew the culture better.
Looking up from his book when he felt someone looking right at him, the hitwizard spotted a young pair - a white male and Asian female. That was about what he expected, and they recognized him. Kingsley had not particularly disguised himself for this meeting. “Hello,” Kingsley greeted them, slipping his book into his jacket, “What would you like to drink?”
------
Yes, it was solidified, Kingsley was Kevin's hero. Having only met him once, Kevin had believed it possible that his first impression might have been a wrong one, but no. Here he was sitting cool as a cucumber in the back of a gay pub and doing a puzzle. There was definitely some kinship here.
He was grinning widely, unable to help himself, when he slid into one of the free seats at the table. He didn't really care whether the people around him thought he was gay or single or not - he felt comfortable in the knowledge that those questions were probably the only ones they were asking themselves when they looked at him. So long as they weren't wondering if he was a wizard or a fugitive, he was good.
"Oh, hm," he said. He was considering water, but he had the money in his pocket for something else, so he shrugged. "I'm going to stay away from alcohol, I think. I'm driving home."
