Take two! Who: Angela and Barty What: Making their lives more complicated (aka too many old schoolmates). When: Monday afternoon (Backdated) Where: Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment in Diagon Alley. Warnings: Nope. Status: In Progress
"This is completely unacceptable," Angela's eyes flashed as she crossed her arms across her chest. It had been a tiring day. Most people didn't think of shopping as tiring, but fewer things were more emotionally draining than bereavement arrangements. Certainly, she'd also bought nice robes, as there was little point in wandering around without them, and one could never have too many nice clothes, after all (she hoped that her husband would appreciate them, because she needed some relaxation that night). Especially when one was a natural clotheshorse.
Not to mention finding someone to watch Adrian, and hoping that he didn't have any magical incidents, because a quick memory wiping spell on a caretaker drained her enough without a full day in the magical world behind her. And the attempts to find a good appraiser were wearing thin.
In short, she was completely not in the mood for the shoddy worksmanship that this shopkeeper was trying to pass off as quality.
"This is trash, and I am insulted that you would even suggest to sell this to me." Her voice wasn't the shrill crescendo that one would expect out of a woman her age, but it had enough strength and volume behind it to easily carry throughout the shop, which was the point. If he thought her displeasure would affect other customers, he would be more likely to accommodate her.
