Who: Kevin and Colin (Su, Dennis, & Dean are all welcome to come join!) What: a pillow fight for the sake of cheeriness. When: Monday evening Where: their safehouse Warnings: probably none. Status: Incomplete
It was a difficult job, keeping people safe. At first it had been easy, just finding buildings and turning them into livable, warded houses. Then, with Harry's help, the Creeveys had joined him and Dean and Su in their house. Even that wasn't too difficult, because Colin and Dennis were friendly, and they had plenty of room.
A lot had happened today, though. There had been a mission, probably a scary one, possibly more dangerous than Kevin even quite understood, but he hadn't been involved in that part. He wasn't quite the getaway driver, either, but he had helped to provide the safe house for them to come back to. There were quite a few people, and he hadn't been sure how many of them would actually be sleeping at the house, so he'd given them their second house instead of trying to fit into the house he and the other four were currently occupying. They could always switch it around later, after all.
And more than that, when he'd heard that the woman they were rescuing was injured, he'd brought all of his medical supplies into the house from the car. They were just Muggle medical supplies for the most part: bandages, antibiotic ointment, that sort of thing, but they were very useful things. He'd gone out immediately to replace his kit as much as he could, of course; just because one very injured person needed them now didn't mean he wouldn't need to have more on hand, in case someone else got injured.
He was tired when he got back to his own house, and stayed in the car for a moment after he'd turned off the engine, just thinking. Then he took a deep breath, composed himself, and put a smile on his face. Spirits in the house had been low, and just because a lot had happened today didn't mean that it was any less important to keep a smile on his face. He entered the living room, picked up a pillow, and chucked it at the first person he saw, who happened to be Colin, sitting on the couch.
"Hey," he said with a grin. "Pillow fight time, yeah? Then dinner?"
