RP: Flint's Homecoming Who: Marcus Flint, Cho Chang, Flavia Flint (npc) When: December 26th, 2000 (evening) Where: Flint House, nr Falmouth, Cornwall Rating: Some adult activity Summary: Marcus arrives home from his patrol.
If Marcus could have spent Christmas with anyone, his chosen companions would not have been Vincent Crabbe and Laura Madley. Both of them for different reasons, of course. Laura was even more of a newlywed than himself and Crabbe put the bug in 'bah humbug'. Quiet moments when he could take a glance at his journal and a brief exchange with Cho to check on his wife had been the better part of his week. It seemed like even the rebels had taken the Christmas week off.
He Apparated to the edge of his property, breath a white cloud in the chilled air. Though most of the curtains were drawn, he could still see that the lamps were on in several rooms. It was a relief to be home. Even if he were supposedly on call this week, he finally had a chance to relax. Already his shoulders were less tense.
The door opened for him, the heat of the house enveloping him. Marcus dropped his small travelling bag by the assorted boots that had amassed by the door. As he was pulling off his cloak, Marcus heard footsteps that were too heavy for Cho and yet too quick for his mother. "Marcus!" Barely getting his cloak off, he found himself with an armful of Flavia.
"Hey, Flavs." He couldn't help the smile that started on his face. What in the name of Merlin's boxers was happening to him? Living with all these women was turning him soft. Unless the baby was a boy, he was completely doomed. "Merry Christmas."
Flavia beamed. "Happy Christmas! Thank you so much for the unicorn. Mum says I can go visit it next month if it's not snowing."
"Though you'd like it." When he'd seen the 'adopt a unicorn' scheme in the window of one of the pet shops, Marcus had sent an inward prayer up somewhere at the ease of which he could arrange his sister's gift. A photograph of the unicorn in question, a personalised 'letter' from the unicorn and regular updates about it throughout the year. All with a plush unicorn toy. "Reckon you could get me a drink? I want to catch up with Cho before you tell me about the rest of your presents."
She sighed. "Alright. But I have lots to tell you."
