Paper due on this book we're reading in two weeks. The teacher went around the room, asking everyone to tell him our topics.
The guy across from me said, "I'm going to approach the text through the lenses of different theories and examine various themes."
So I stood up and said, "You sir are a bullshit artist, and that is the vaguest statement I've ever heard. Ever."
Okay, I wasn't that calm about it. Not my fault that dick had an inchoate mass of bromidic nothings for a thesis.
At least I got all my homework done in detention. |

I have just realized that it's been nigh on a year since I arrived here. Eleven months, but close enough for the counting of it.
I don't know whether or not to consider it odd that I haven't yet missed home. Though I suppose that's because Bill was here already when I arrived and that's enough to make anyplace home, really.

It seems that not only have the Inspector and I suffered this odd universal displacement, it just so happens that we've been advanced forward approximately twelve years from our current time.
I don't suppose that anybody here could assist me with filling in the pertinent historical gaps in those twelve years that we appear to be missing? It would be greatly appreciated.

Been human for 21 days and... 5 hours, 19 minutes. I'm keeping track.
It's been great. While you all were dealing with the consequences of your past or future, fighting, having random runts spring up out of thin air? I was relaxing on the beach. Going to school. Hanging out with my fake-family. Doing normal things. My new job starts up again this week. It's exciting, in a totally boring and uneventful way.

Okay people, this is one of those hypothetical situation kind of things.
Say you're walking down the street in a pretty busy city, like London or Los Angeles or something, and you're walking along, minding your own business, maybe you're late for work, maybe you're going to the store or to a friend's house or even to the subway, I don't know, not important. You're going along about your day, doing what you do, and you see a guy with wings coming the other way, just minding his own business, walking along.
What do you do? How do you react? |

Daily Weird News: Holy $%@! It's a Lion, Get in the Car!
At about 12:20 p.m, Massachusetts Police say a woman went into the First Community Bank and demanded money. Officers say the suspect was armed with a hand gun.
Witnesses say the suspect took an undisclosed amount in cash from the teller, then headed for the bathroom. An explosion was heard, blowing out the wall. The suspect is thought to have escaped through the hole in the wall.
But that's not where it gets weird. Witnesses also say a LION burst through the bathroom door, with the sack of money in its jaws. It fled out the front door, terrifying the employees and customers still inside the bank, but no one was hurt.
A police pursuit turned up no money, no lion and no woman. The woman suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black track pants. She is described as ((ooc: a woman matching Akima's description)). Police say they do have a lead on the woman and are pursuing it. The lion is said to be roughly 550 pounds, last seen wearing tawny fur and a mane.
If anyone has any information on this bizarre woman and trained lion bank-robbing duo, please call Crimestoppers at 1-555-LOCK-U-UP.

School means even less to me here than it did back home. I have two years to catch up on. My acting class is full of pretentious douchebags.
Can't sleep at my house. Can't stay awake in class. Keep waking up screaming at my desk. Nightmares.
Also, my lawyer won't stop bugging me.
Everything else though? Everything else is great. I've even got the perfect distraction for this weekend. |
