I don't believe it. I do not believe it. I have a family. I have a family. With kids, and everything. There's three of them. Or maybe five. But three who are here. And they're terrific. One of them's clearly his mother's boy, he's got her eyes and his brow furrows exactly the same way when he's concentrating, and one of them's got my sense of humor and knack for finding all the wrong things funny, and the third one has to be the most adorable kid in the world.
I can't believe this is my life. How did I get this lucky? If there were a Chantry handy, I'd go sing hymns to the Maker. Well, I maybe not sing, wouldn't want to hurt His ears with my off-key warbling. I'll find something.
Varric, thanks to you and all of yours for keeping a roof over their heads when they got here. I owe you one. I keep owing you one and then never paying you back and instead coming over to eat all of Esmerelda's pancakes, but you know what I mean.
No, I'm not going to stop babbling, why do you ask?

Teja, this armor you made me was worth every penny. The sword and shield, too.
Mary's-brother-I-never-caught-your-name, your sister's here, our healers are looking her over. For all I know you're here too, I haven't had a chance to look around, but just so you know. Look for, uh, let me think, Yuna or Dar, I believe, to find out how she is, if you haven't yet.
Everyone else, would you believe that someone tried to order a pizza--actually about twenty pizzas--and the guy delivered them? Didn't even charge us extra, apparently he's getting a kick out of being able to use a shotgun on the job. I ate two. Best pizza ever. Definitely remembering that place for next time I'm in this city.
But Andraste's flaming pyre, what would I give for some sleep that's not interrupted by screaming or growling or Maker knows what.

Oh! You might not all know it, but my friend Hawke is a hero. She saved a whole city back home, maybe more than that. They called her the Champion! So if anyone needs saving here, you should ask Hawke, because she's amazing!

I'm a little disappointed that my sword doesn't go "boioioioioioioioioing" anymore when I thwack it against things. That was pretty neat.
Not needing to shave wasn't bad either. |

So on one hand, my armor's back!
On the other hand I seem to have a permanent case of stubble now. No matter how much I shave it just stays there. Like it's made of rubber.
Actually, I think my sword might be made of rubber now too. That's not going to be very useful. |

Wish me luck, all. I have an interview in a few days to see if I can join the local police force. Maker willing, I'll soon have a job that lets me actually wear clothes.
...so, uh, if that falls through, does it really stay warm all year-round here in California like everyone says? Because come winter, this lifeguarding thing is going to get unpleasant as opposed to just awkward, if so.

New friends, new hobbies, hopefully soon a new job, plus I've found someone to spar with, plus all the mochas I can drink. I'm beginning to like it here.
And this pizza stuff? Best invention ever. I think I could eat it for the rest of my life and be happy. Especially with double cheese and pepperoni. |
