The Flying Dutchman
You deserve everything the world has to give you. Everything I could give you, if you were only to be open to me. You deserve to have anything and everything you could ever want.
You are so much more than that, Fleur. You are not anyone's slave, to be ordered around and given duties like a common servant. If you choose to be Desire's right hand, that is your choice, and I hope that he/she appreciates you. I do not know him/her, but that it is Lady Death's sibling. I required nothing of you but that you be yourself. If being yourself wasn't that you were gentle, vulnerable, needy, innocent and shy, then I apologize for assuming you were nothing other than yourself. I wouldn't want you to be something you didn't want to be.
You may have been adaptable and mold-able as a ship, but as a woman you are so much more. I don't have the right to tell you to be anything, all I can say is that I wish your hatred for me was not so deep. I truly miss you and all that we shared, both as Captain and ship in that other life, and as friends in this one. Your absence in my life deprives me of the privilege of gazing at your beauty.
