I said something along these lines awhile back, but I really would like to take it from theory to reality. We have so many mages and wizards and sorceresses gathered here, and we could learn so much from each other. I know there is a school for youth; perhaps there's a way to have an exchange and lessons of our own?

Arthas

I hope you're settling in all right. Let me know if I can help, promise?

You've already offered me more than I deserve. I'd feel bad asking you to help me any more.

Please Arthas, don't think like that. I don't mind, or I wouldn't ask.

If anything comes up, I'll make an attempt to ask. No guarantees it'll work.

Hey, my name is Gaius and I've been working at the school. I've been working a lot with different kinds of magic, trying to see how different spells work for different people. We could meet up if you'd like.

Wonderful! That's exactly what I was hoping for.

I would be very interested in something like that!

Fantastic, I hope to speak with a few of the other magic users and really get something started. It could be so useful!

I think that sounds pretty interesting. I can probably get my partners to come along too...

I'm Hawke, by the way. Champion of Kirkwall.

It's astounding how many of us there are, really.

I am Jaina. It's a pleasure to meet you.

It really is. Mages aren't all that common in Thedas, but... I'm not sure if that's down to crazy Templars or not.

Templars? May I ask what those are?

Bastards They're part of the Chantry, which organises Andrasteism throughout Thedas. Their duties are to contain and control the mages, often with brute force, and to make those who resist either Tranquil or dead.

I'm guessing I don't want to know what 'Tranquil' means.

That's grotesque. I'm used to mages being held with a certain amount of fear, particularly by the Kaldorai, but to hunt them? That's positively barbaric.

You're cut off from the Fade. No more dreams, no more powers, no more emotions. In many ways, it's worse than death.

If you're not in a Circle, you're an apostate and you'll be hunted until the end of days. I only got away with it after I became Champion, and even then it wasn't exactly easy.

I know a couple of things that could be useful - Grey Warden techniques, mostly.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Wardens. What faction are they?

We're an ancient order in my world, and probably have the most dangerous Joining out of any order in any world. We fight Darkspawn, twisted soulless creatures, and prevent them from destroying everything during Blights.

Since there's very few Darkspawn here, it's only fair that I use my talents to assist others.

It's strange, but not as strange as you'd think. There are certainly parallels with Azeroth, it would seem. No matter what, I believe we can all learn from one another and be better equipped for whatever may be on the road ahead.

I think every world has its own little Darkspawn troubles. Or undead troubles. The two seem to go together rather well.
