A mental thing, maybe? You expect to age, so you do? It sounds like even if you're dead and Unsentenced or whatever it was called, you still go around as if you're alive in most ways. What differences were there?

It is difficult to explain. Mainly it is the anger and despair. It drives most to become monsters.

That sounds too much like a letter that the mailman forgets to deliver.

Huh. I wonder if that's what drove the undead nasties in my world. They certainly didn't seem happy. Granted, I wouldn't be in their position either, I like having skin. It's useful stuff.

Right, back to the point. Not aging would make most people happy, whereas getting older makes a lot of them more angry and despairing, so...

You know what? I think I'm going to just write this one off as it's a mystery and leave it at that.
