My vallaslin are back. Thought I'd never see these again...

And I had actually started to grow accustomed to jeans..

At least you're not stuck in armour, Morrigan. I'll be sure to avert my eyes if being back in that state of dress bothers you.

Warden, the location of your eyes has never had any effect on the way I dress or anything else I do.

I know. Just making sure accidentally looking the wrong way won't result in anything bad.

Ah-hah, I see you're back in your "I'm a maleficar, smite me now" ensemble. Don't you get cold in that lack-of-an-outfit?

Thinking of smiting me with a rubber sword, Alistair? How terrifying.

I do not feel the temperature as you do, if you must know.

I'm a scary guy.

Always knew you were cold, Morrigan. The lack of clothing just demonstrates your complete lack of a need for basic human warmth. Which you probably consider a good thing.

And so clever! How did the other Templars keep up with you and your masterful wordplay?

Of course. There are more interesting things to do with fire than keep warm.

I'm immune to your sarcasm, witchy-woman. Just because you think I'm stupid doesn't mean I actually am.

Spare me the description of the interesting things you do with fire, please. I really don't need to know about your kinks. But what does fire have to do with it, anyway? We were talking about clothes.

While the idea of setting you on fire is quite enjoyable, I would hardly call it a 'kink'.

Fire is a way humans keep warm, Alistair. That I need to spell this out for you speaks highly of that intelligence you mentioned.

I wouldn't put it past you.

Yessssss, and clothes are another way of keeping warm, and a rather more useful one given that they're portable and keep all of you warm. Which is why we wear them. Except for you.

Then you simply mustn't leave me so frustrated, Alistair. Come now, just a bit of charred flesh? Some burning hair, perhaps? A girl has needs.

I'm sure you're able to fulfill whatever twisted needs you have without me being at all involved.

What, really no one? There's honestly no one in the world you find more annoying and potentially flammable than me? I'm actually touched!

But you'll still have to make do with second-best, whoever that is.

Exciting, isn't it?

But you weren't raised with the Dalish.. When did you get vallaslin?

It isn't like I spent my entire life in the Circle. Sneaking out and getting ridiculous tattoos is almost part of life there, I just managed to take it one step further... finding a clan willing to do it was the hardest part.

The Templars were hardly happy I managed it, but I think I'm allowed to embrace my heritage a little.

Oh, that does sound exciting! Why didn't you stay with the clan, though? Surely if they let you go through the ritual, they would be willing to let you stay.

The Templars have my blood in one of those phylactery things. It would've been all too easy for them to find me, and that would've put the entire clan in danger.

A lot of people outside the Circle aren't aware of phylacteries. Templars like to keep them quiet, considering they're a form of blood magic.

If I'd had them done after I became a Warden, I would've stayed. I think the Templars gave up on tracking me then. It would've been a little strange, though, after years of being around humans...

Templars doing blood magic! How strange.

Hm. It's odd to think you wouldn't feel comfortable around your own people. I suppose I can understand, given how long you've been around humans... Still. It doesn't seem quite right, somehow.

Not that there's anything wrong with being around humans! Especially when there aren't any alienages. I rather like some humans.

How have you been, Alim? I haven't seen you in a while.

That's what I like about this world. We're not made to feel like lesser beings just because we're elves. If anything, people are more fascinated by our ears and our vallaslin than anything else.

Things have been... interesting. I don't know if you've seen him, but my son turned up a few months ago. I've been trying to help him and his mother out, doesn't seem to be going too badly.

I do like this world. There are so many things to get used to, but that's part of the fun.

Oh, you have a son? I didn't know that! I do, too! And a daughter! They're from the future. It's a bit strange, but... nice.

Like this whole thing. Although, I'm not sure if it's fun, considering I'm not sure where to look sometimes... still, that's just me and the company I keep.

He's mostly human, so he blends in pretty well around here. I knew he existed before I came here, but... him showing up mostly grown-up was a bit of a shock to the senses.

It's sort of nice, seeing Anders in his old robes. And Loki is sillier than usual. Normally he and Pounce get along, but now he keeps chasing her! And I think I heard Loki try to talk!

That was a bit of a shock for us too, Stefan and Melora being grown up. They seem happy, though. And they speak Elvish, even Stefan. I've never heard a human so fluent in Elvish.

I assume he still wore the feathers in Kirkwall? I remember the original Pouncealot riding on his shoulder and trying to eat them at one point... strange cat.

Humans speaking Elvish? I don't think I've ever heard of that before. You must be a good teacher to have managed that... or, well, you will be a good teacher. This whole future thing is more than a little confusing.

He did! The Pounce here has been doing that, too!

Well, he has Elven blood. And he's very smart. I think I'm going to start teaching Hawke and Anders a little.
