Arcerian cats are... well they are a race of cats in my world, many of whom are Kindred. They are very large and stealthy.

My grandfather told me once that most prey did not know an Arcerian cat was there till they were being attacked. Only a select few of us "good humans" were not considered meat to the Arcerians. Thanks to their love for my great-grandmother.

No oceans near us. Lakes, yes, but no real oceans unless you go to the Fyreborn Islands. My father and grandfather took me wave whumping often as a kid, much to my mother and grandmother's annoyance.

Yes... Our caste system for males are Blood males, Warlords, Princes and Warlord Princes. For females it's Blood females, witches, Healer, Priestess, Black Widow and Queen. Females can have more than one caste, only two males in the history of the Blood have held more than one caste. One of those castes were always ever female. My great-great grandfather was not a natural Black Widow, but his son, my great-grandfather, was. And the only male in the history of the Blood to *be* a natural Black Widow.

They aren't called Queens, they are born Queens. Their psychic scent is very distinct, especially to a Warlord Prince. The Queens are our moral center and the heart of the lands, the focal point of our Society. Not all Queens are meant to be Territory Queens, some are village or Province Queens. Village Queens report to Province Queens, who report to Territory Queens.

Well yes and no. There *are* kindred spiders in the territory of Arachne, but the Black Widow caste refers to those witches that are trained in illusions, poisons, healing the mind and can weave the webs of visions and dreams.

It's also a... hm. In a way it's a physical scent that we can detect. I mean... we're Blood and our magic allows us to know these things. Especially if a Warlord Prince and a Queen are meant to be with one another. A Queen holds the leash for us and the Queen we are destined to serve... there is an unimaginable pull for us to them and vice versa.

That's... interesting. Why did it go from one to the other?

I guess it was more of a large territory in what's now Turkey... you know, there's a book you can read. Actually, there's about five hundred.

Basically, what happened was my grandmother left her husband, who was King of a place called Sparta, and came to Troy to be with another man. It started a war that lasted something like ten years and when it was over, my grandmother was left Queen of this city and because she was immortal, she watched over it for three thousand years. Then she met my grandfather, had my mother... and then she didn't want to live any more. She talked to her father and asked to be made mortal so she could die. Now my mom is Queen and the city itself sits outside of time, so we go back and forth. Kind of a magic to us, too, I guess.

Yes. Unlike the rest of her Warlord Princes, she wasn't just my Queen but also my heart. So it's tormenting to be away from her and not knowing what is going on since we were at war.

I see. That is quite an involved history. Though I do admit that, for me and my family, three thousand years is just a drop in the bucket... But I do understand how someone would want to return to the Darkness after so long.

	I'm sorry to hear that. There's always a chance that what brought you here could bring her, too. Yeah, it's kind of twisted and that was just the brief version. After being alone for three thousand years, I'd kind of want to just fade away, too. She'd finally found happiness again and he was killed right in front of her. I think she just gave up. 	If the Darkness is kind... That I can understand. I was almost 2,000 years old when Anayah came into my life. It was over 1,700 years for both of my great-grandfathers waiting for their Queen to arrive. And their father waited over 50,000 years for her. So I do get that. (Reply to this) (Parent)
