People actually jump off bridges and high objects willingly with a bouncy string attached to them?

Sounds interesting, I wonder what it's like.

Well,

I don't know about bungee jumping, but parachuting is great, especially when you don't need to worry about oncoming attacks.

It's scary as hell at first of course, but once you get your chute out and start floating, there's nothing like it. It's about as close to flying as you could get.

What is... parachuting?

It's when you jump out a perfectly good airplane while thousands of feet in the air, you pull a string and a big sheet opens up and catches the wind. Suddenly you go from falling to nearly flying.

When it's in the daylight and during peacetime it's great because you can see everything and the sensation is about as close to flying as you could get.

You should try it, they have lessons where they teach you how to parachute-or, sky diving as they call it now.

I'll come with you if you want.

I'm not sure... it sounds rather dangerous.

Do you think that's a good idea?

I don't know? Have you done it before?

No, but it's sort of dangerous. I don't think I would try it myself...

Hm. Maybe I won't then.

One of my co-workers is something of a fanatic for such things. He swears it makes a person appreciate their lives more by endangering them, or some other argument.

That doesn't sound promising...

It most certainly did not to me, either. I appreciate my life quite well from a dinner table with a good glass of wine.
