I've got folk telling me I ought to be more sociable. Ain't never been sociable before, don't see any reason to start now besides keepin' 'em quiet for a while.

Library's still open for anybody with an appointment, appointments are open every day 'cept Wednesdays since that's when I teach.

That would be correct, yes.
There's the nests that barely classify as people, aye, but they're rarer here, or at least have been driven into further seclusion due to the higher-brained ones of us.

However, there are 'people' that can be far worse than any beast you or I have encountered. Though that's just picking nits, really. Still, it would be nice to speak to you at length, and perhaps collaborate our efforts in getting a compendium of knowledge of things that may pose threats here at any given time.

Monsters are monsters, whether they're critter or human, ones that are critters are easier to deal with.

Collaboration don't sound like something I'd be opposed to. You read Aramaic?

I'm a bit rusty on it, but I'm passable. Learned how to read that language ages ago, but the monk that taught me knew it near as well as he knew how to breathe. Why?

Just checking. S'all. Most of the important books are in Latin, some in Greek, but I know I've got one or two around in the original Aramaic. That's besides the ones in Japanese, Mandarin, and the American Indian dialects.

I can read Mandarin and it would depend on the indigenous tribe, since I only know the ones that were nearer the gulf coast, and even then it was more a spoken language than written, so it would be hard for me to deal with. I know a lady who is Japanese, she may be able to help you with that, provided she's still here and hasn't wandered off in the past few months.

Lot of 'em are written phonetically, so that's not generally a problem. And I know Japanese, it's the Mandarin that sometimes gives me trouble, sometimes.

Anytime you'd like to come by, just let me know, I'm guessing you ain't one of those that'll burst into flames with a little UV.

I am that type, but I've got a way around it. I'll be around some time after the weekend.

Sounds like a plan.
