My daughter is kicking and stretching, my older son is a sweet and lovely spirit, and I have a dog curled up next to me softly snoring. Things could be better, to be certain, but they are not bad at all. |

Oh dear, time flies when you're experiencing all manner of incredible things. The candy I passed out was unfortunately quite mundane, but I did, however, find one of the sweets that affected so many.
I did quite enjoy being able to listen into people's minds. It was enlightening.

There has to be more to life than sitting behind a desk, doing paperwork, making money. My life used to have meaning. I used to make a difference. I had a purpose in life. I knew what it was, and I didn't question it, I welcomed it. When Michael and I rolled into town, we knew that we were there to change someone's life for the better or die trying. Any other option was unacceptable. We fought the good fight. People weren't always glad to see us, but we always did our best to help where we could.
I miss those days. When did I stop helping people? And when did I start thinking it was all right to stop? |
