Christmas... Was a surprise 'cause it came out of nowhere, but I spent it well. Made me realize I'm going to miss my brother and my band but... Anyway. Just felt like I was supposed to post about my holiday or something.
So I've been getting into this online shopping thing? I like being able to get just about anything I want without going outside. But I came across some new fashions that... I just don't get. Like this pair of "draped" pants. They are awful. See:
Found here. Did someone really look at their own butt in their sweatpants and say "That's nice, but I'd really like it to be more... saggy. No really saggy. Like I crapped myself, or like my legs and rear are dripping silly putty." Ugly. :/
Anyway, um. I've been staring at this screen too long, my eyes hurt. Anyone feel like rescuing me? We could like go somewhere. |

I have discovered something marvelous.
This something is spraypaint. Or, more accurately, airbrushing. I've found that I like it rather a lot, I don't mind brushes of course, in fact they're much better for detail work than the airbrush, but it's fantastic for backgrounds and things, especially in winter scenes where everything's a bit fuzzy anyway.
I've even found one that works with compressed air cannisters instead of an actual air compressor, so much quieter and more enjoyable. |

Seems like there's always another batch of newcomers, funny thing about this place, always pulling folk in from all over.
For the new ones (and maybe the old ones, if you haven't seen it yet) my name's Book, and I had some people give me a helping hand on my first few days, so I'm repaying that by passing it on.
Anybody who needs some help getting things sorted out, need a few days to get your feet back under you, feel free to come by and see me [London address]. Place is open to the lost, don't matter how badly, whether you need a mug of tea and some directions to the zoo, or a couch to sleep on for a couple days while you adjust I'm open for all comers, especially those displaced in time as well as space.
I've also been told that I'm pretty good with the advice, if that's what you need instead, don't worry about it being too late or too early, help's provided at all hours. |
