Say what you will about the natural laws of the universe, their capacity to bend at the most unexpected times makes for some amazing discoveries.
And, some colorful explosions!

It occurs to me, though, I haven’t left the lab for some time, especially given the severe lack of breakfast pastries I had in cryogenic suspension.
I find it helps preserve the flavor.

But strudel aside, it has been a most remarkable number of days! I do hope no one has encountered too difficult an adjustment period. Feel free to leave your name, number, and a genetic sample if you find the time.

There is much work to be done!

What shiny super power did you get, Walter?

Oliva, my dear!
It's good to hear from you. I wondered how you faired during this most remarkable event.

My power? Oh, the para-physical ability that manifested, yes-yes. It was truly quite extraordinary. With simple kinesthetic contact, I could will an object to loose its molecular cohesion, only to appear at a predetermined destination.
That is, if I touched an object, it would reappear some where else, dependant upon the location my thoughts were focused upon.

It was truly a sight to behold. However, that does remind me…
I might have misplaced the cow.

But tell me about your adventures with the occurrence?

I'm okay, just kind of sitting around and trying not to turn something into toast.

Literal toast. I seem to touch something and it turns into warm, buttery toast. It's nice if you're hungry.

The cow.. right. Well we'll see if we can't find the cow then. Cow's aren't exactly hard to find.

Toast you say?! My, that is delightful!
Of all the random abilities to find manifest in oneself...

I am jealous, though. I could have used you during these weeks of analyzing and experimentation. Imagine, not having to leave the lab due to the gift of instantaneous breakfast. A marvel!

Oh, and Peter? Have you seen him? I also could have used his help. No doubt he was as intoxicated at discovering the roots of such a phenomenon. Perhaps he could fire plasma from his eyes, or lift large vehicles above head.
Or chocolate milk?! What if he could produce foodstuffs, just as you?
Together, both you and my son would be part of a nutritious breakfast.

I know, it's definitely very odd.

I have to wear mittens. It makes it really hard to type. Well if you still want to experiment or just need toast let me know.

Not in a day or so. I'm not sure what power he has. Maybe it's embarrassing and he's been hiding. Yeah. Breakfast, that sounds good. Actually chocolate milk does sound good right about now.

I could see how that might disrupt your day to day operations! But you should be thrilled for such a condition. Though I am sure some will create some delusion of grandure out of this event, we can't all put on spandex and fight crime.
Unless you wish to attempt such. Do you own spandex? I'm fairly certain Peter never said anything about that...

It was sometime before I had full realized the extent of my altered state. Much like with our bovine companion, I have misplaced a number of items, including that very nice microscope you supplied me with.

No matter, though, I am sure if I simply retrace my mental steps, I can determine just *where* I was thinking to find the objects destination. It's no doubt the same place as my toothbruth and my chicken sandwhich.

I do hope Peter comes around, though, I could use his help. I do not know the extent, nor the duration of this phenomenon. I do not wish to miss out!

It's a little on the amusing side, I'll give you that. I already fight crime, I don't need spandex or to be able to make toast. Um.. I.. no, I really don't have spandex. And Peter would definitely not know if I had spandex.

Well we'll find the cow, and the microscope and if we can't find either one, I guess we'll just get you a new one. Unless I turn them both into toast and then we can just eat them. Huh, I wonder how that works. Would it taste like beef flavored toast?

I'm sure you'll be able to find them, I have faith in you Walter.

And I'll make sure that Peter comes down to see you once I find out what his power is and possibly laugh at him for having it.

Beef flavored toast... ... ...
Oh, I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

No matter. And yes, you are quite adept at criminology. I suppose capes and tights are better reserved for a different generation.
Not that they wouldn't flatter you! Quite the eye catcher, I am sure.

Finding the cow.

That's probably true. I think spandex and capes would just get in the way. Very distracting.

Oh uh.. thank you, Walter.

.. Seeing.. are you invisible?

Invisibility? Why that would be astounding! The notion that light would reflect or pass through physical matter has been hottly debated for some time.

I, of course, thought that it was possible, and even had some moderate success during... well I suppose that's neither here nor there.
Sort of like Peter, you might say. Heh!

You should let me examine you as soon as possible, son. Who knows what fascinating details might manifest.
