It is difficult adapting to a more civilian lifestyle. I find myself missing the comforts my position once afforded me. Despite his treachery, Walter was a good butler and a good friend. Now I live alone, on a very tight budget. Working as a stenographer is not as lucretive as being a knight and leading Hellsing.

But I also now have time to do other things. The occult studies here are. . . amusing. There is a lot more knowledge readily available, if you only know where to look.

Would anyone care to teach me more about magic? I have often wondered about the bonds my father and grandfather placed upon Alucard, and would like to know more about it.

Alucard is- was a powerful vampire. He aided me in my tenure as the leader of the Hellsing Organization. His power was bound so that he could only use it when I allowed him to do so.

For all the good that did, in the end.

Magic is certainly of interest. What do you know of it?

Ahhh. I never liked Fanglys! Too serious for me!

Why? Is he gone?

Oh! I am magic! I'm a Djinn.

He is. And so am I, apparently.

Oh! How interesting. I have heard of your kind. May I ask you about yourself?

Of course you can!

Ask away!

I am a curiosity.

You are indeed. How is it you came to be in this world? Are you from this one, or another plane?

I came from this world's conection to the Nth plane and was brought here by a Djinn contract asfter I grew bored then fixed on this world by an unfortunate encounter with Merlin.

Yes. So. . . Merlin is here.

How strange. Are there many beings from legends here?

Huh.

That's. . . going to take some time to digest.

Don't worry!

I am sure you will have at least five minutes until things get very odd.

I'm quite knowledgeable about things like that. What, precisely are you looking to learn?

Anything, honestly.

I fear that my knowledge thus far is only from what Alucard was able, and willing, to tell me, along with a few scrambled notes my predecesors left tucked into their private books.

And of course, all of that material is now lost to me. So I would be a new student in any manner of magic.

Alucard. As in Dracula? That's... well, it's not a myth if you know him personally, but even being of his ilk, I never believed in him. Your said he was bound to your family, somehow? I have heard of binding spells like that, but binding someone like Dracula would require much more than a simple binding spell.

By the way, my name is Bill Turner. I'm something of a collector. I've spent my unlife in collecting knowledge on the arcane, magical, and paranormal. I assure you that I'm benign, as is my sire. I've become friend to many Hunters in need. If you'd like, you could have access to my library.

Yes. I believe using Alucard instead of his real name was important to the spell, somehow. It was a great deal stronger than a simple spell. For every mark that he bears, I have a similar one. He is bound to my blood, and I am, through that bond, unable to break free of him as well.

But he kills things efficiently, and is dead now.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Turner. I am Integral Hellsing. I believe that access to your library would no doubt prove quite enlightening. And perhaps a few moments to ask questions ever now and then?

Ah, interesting. I believe I've heard something similar, though with demons, and not vampires. was Alucard... more a Demon? That's simply fascinating. It would be an interesting aspect to consider. If he was a demon instead, he could theoretically return.

Hellsing? I've known of the Hellsing family for many generations, though I've never met one. You're quite infamous amongst the vampire community as the most efficient, frightening hunters in all of existence. It's an honor to meet you, Integral. My library is located in my home, at [address] in London. I'll be here, if you need anything. I'll have Freedom make some tea, and see if my descendant has any cookies or biscuits to offer, as he often comes by to make sure our guests are well looked after. I'm rather horrible at cooking, myself, and Jack's worse.

Ah. I see. Well, I shall be honored to stop by for a visit, though you must indulge me a slight bit of personal protection. After all, it would be quite imprudent of me to enter into the home of a vampire unable to defend myself.

And I have often thought that Alucard's powers resembled a demon's more than a vampire's. I wonder if perhaps he was a man possessed, and he created vampires without actually being one himself.

I understand entirely. I can assure you that we wouldn't dare harm you, but you can protect yourself all you feel is necessary, miss Hellsing.

That would be an entirely viable option. I'm currently working on learning more about the various strains of vampirism and their causes. I, myself, am a more viral one. I've got a disease, rather than it being entirely magical or paranormal in a sense. I've yet to isolate the particular strain, though I'm sure it's there. If you don't mind, miss Hellsing, I would like to know more about the vampires you were after, and Alucard, himself. It would be infinitely helpful to my studies.

Of course. A fair exchange of information would help both of our causes, it seems.

I have studies about the natural vampires and ghouls memorized, but the newer strain of created vampires is still beyond my understanding.
