Hm. Still, I can definately see where he was coming from.
Removed from the moment, even the most sensible decision can cause chagrin. Fear is a sensible reaction, especially to the knowledge he has... inflicted this lifestyle, on another person. I know it may not seem that way to you, but it is a very difficult decision to turn another, to make them experience death that way. And especially to think of a child, never getting to know a truly mortal life. But the fact of the matter is, you exist, and you seem plenty healthy. He needs to take responsibility for that, and at least give you a chance.
Of course, the opinion of an outsider likely means little.
