Oh hell no, I did not just get sucked up by some tornado. Do I look like fucking Dorothy? This has got to be some sort of fucking dream.

And Jesus Christ, it's freezing. This ain't right. This just ain't right.

Where the fuck am I?

Name's Missouri Mosley. And don't fret about it none, rude happens when you get picked up in the middle of what you're doing and dropped off somewhere completely other.

And so far as what whoever you were before did? You don't have to stick with it, from what I can tell most people don't. I sort of took a six of one half-dozen of another approach. Remodeled the high-strung coffee place I landed in into something more settled. Seems to be working fine.

That's funny. My best friend and I both got Double Initials and so do you. I always notice that sort of thing. Mama didn't even realize it 'til I pointed it out she named me TT.

I dunno if I want to stick with it or not. I mean, I ain't ever thought I'd ever be a model, but when I was a little girl...
Well, it's always fun to dream. I might give it a chance, see if I can do it. No harm in lettin' some guy take pictures of me or nothin', sure as hell beats what my cousin does for a livin'. But I sure as hell won't be gettin' up on no stage with a bunch of other girls, I heard models are damn stupid, ignorant fools. And I sure as hell can't keep my mouth kept shut around idiots.

You still in London, Missouri? I might just come by and say thank you myself.

Bet you can get by all the same. Just find yourself an agent to doesn't deal with idiots either and you should be fine.

Mama named me Missouri so I wouldn't forget my roots. She was from Indiana though, guess she figured that weren't any good for a girl's name.

Sure I'm still in London, got a tea-and-readings shop to run. [address] don't mind the sign by the door with the hours on it, it's just for decoration anyway.

You know, I don't know any way about doin' that sorta thing. I guess I could figure it out, tho', I wasn't raised to be a foolish good-for-nothin' girl.

Naw, Indiana's a boy's name for sure. Missouri's a good name, though. Mama named me after a plantation, figure she was too drunk to think of nothin' else. She's a real piece of work.

Well then, I'll be stoppin' by today. You do readings? I don't believe in that much, but my best friend's got abilities, so I don't doubt some people's psychic here too.

Good to see that some people's mammas raise them with some sense. Starting to think they stopped giving that out.

And I'll be here all day. If I'm not, well, then I'll be back. I kind of like having the same hours I had back home which is 'whenever'

Ain't my mama raised me to have sense. She didn't raise me at all, might as well say I raised myself just to keep her from lightin' herself on fire when she passed out with a cigarette lit. Ain't that true, though, 'cause I had Mrs. Stackhouse to look after me when I couldn't do it myself.

Whenever's a good set of hours to have, I can roll with that. As long as your Whenever and everyone you care 'bout's Whenever meet up at some point.

The schedules do tend to meet up pretty often. Most folks I know don't keep the most regular of hours either.

Works out well.
