It was her task to secure the Blackfish for Lady Sansa, yet here she stood in a tent of crimson, patrolled by Lannister guards. They could have made an attempt to kill her, it would have been easy for his men to overwhelm her and her squire, yet she knew exactly what to say to find herself escorted to temporary safety: I have his sword.
It had been some time since she had seen Jaime. There had been little hope in finding Sansa alive, less in seeing Arya. And Stannis? Stannis' blood now stained the very blade she was attempting to return to Ser Jaime. She was wary. She had pledged herself to Lady Sansa, an enemy to the crown that he served, but she knew that she would be safe. Safer under red and gold than most.
The fabric parted and the woman turned to see Jaime standing before her, clean-shaven and donning House colors. She could have smiled had the situation that brought them together not been so grim. "Ser Jaime," she greeted, unable to drop formalities so easily. "May we have a moment alone?" Her sapphire eyes moved to Podrick, who stood quiet in the corner. She had grown to trust Pod, but this reunion was not one she wished to share.
