Marriage and Christianity
I think I am over sensitive. I am really tired of seeing all the Christian slams on the net. all the hateful things being said back and forth.
Religion sects make rules and people who vow to follow those rules offer to God their service to practice (practice being a key word here) Christianity. What people's mistake is that the rules that the sects list IS Christianity and it is not. The rules put forth by each sect is their human interpretation of the bible and the bible was written by man inspired by God.
I happen to dis agree with my chosen sect lists of rules and am in the middle of being ex communicated from the sect I was born into and joined. This does not affect any of my Christian beliefs. And by Christian I mean what Christ has taught even his correction (actually changes due to the promise being delivered.) on the old law of the old testaments.
If a person cannot follow even one thing Christ taught as a guidance for us then how can they turn around and say what is good for others? One of the most important key pieces of advice from Jesus was to approach everyone in love no matter what. This advise was not to the immediate benefit for the person we approach but to ourselves so we can grow spiritually.
When I say Approach everyone in love I mean really, in your heart not just your speech and actions.
Personally I believe that we should take marriage back from governments and put them in our spiritual places we deem Holy. And the only form our unions should legally take is civil ones not matter if it is a man and a woman, two men or two woman.
