s u p e r s In 2008, the US government started to experiment on human subjects. They wanted the 'perfect' soldier. They sought out their 'Captain America'. What they got was far more than they expected; they didn't get 'heroes'. They got 'gods'.
After countless trials, their 'perfect' soldiers were ready and eager for combat and sent out on missions. Their success ratio was 100%. The public saw these special soldiers as 'super heroes' and eventually nicknamed them the 'supers'. They are used by the government to protect the people by sending them out on missions to destroy any opposition to America and her allies.
A select few of these 'supers' were chosen by the President himself to be a part of a special task force designed specifically and solely to protect the President. These chosen Supers are infamously known world wide. They are more feared than respected, more hated than adored. And they are unstoppable, unbreakable, unkillable. They are the 'Elite'.
Though there are rumors that some of the Supers are mutinying, the government assures that these are just tall tales and that there is no substantial or concrete evidence to prove this. Still, there are suspicions.
t h e r e b e l l i o n Nathan Petrelli is dead, technically. It's not his body up there in the White House. Just his mask. Sylar is using his shifting abilities to pose as the charming Petrelli. Hundreds, no, thousands of people have no idea. But there are a special few that do.
The kids of yesterday are the leaders of tomorrow. Those that were only spectators in the early 2000's are now on the front line, fighting to accomplish what their parents could no: the end of Sylar.
But things aren't that simple. As if they ever were. Taking down Sylar can't be done as it might have been in the past. Defeating Sylar means leaving America without its President. A body without a head. As dangerous as Sylar is, it's even more dangerous to leave a country without its leader.
The Rebellion don't live normal lives. They aren't normal people. And most of them are wanted men and women for their 'crimes' against the government. They know that the President doesn't always act in the best interest of the country and instead uses the Supers to accomplish personal goals. But who's to say what the President is doing is wrong? No one knows the truth and the Rebellion want to bring the truth to light.
