SUBJECT: Lysander is depressed, but what's new right?

Life hadn't gone very smoothly over the last few weeks for Lysander. He had admitted to Katherine, and therefore admitted to Eward that he did infact hire a thug to do away with Rochester's betrothed, and coincidentally hadn't had much contact with either of them since then. Eward had even come back home and still didn't even toss Lysander a glance.

As a result, Lysander's warm, kind, romantic personality had been absent, even to Amandine over the weeks. Moping, drinking, not shaving, and just general staring at nothing was all that Lysander could do. He didn't even try to reach out to Eward, his younder brother didn't need him. He had his girl now, he had heard that from Daphne and Daniel. Katherine constantly visited Eward when he was being taken care of, and now he was a free man. He had to be with Katherine every moment he could, atleast that's what Lysander would do if he was in his shoes.

Wandering the halls of his vast mansion, as he did these days, he approached his brother's bedroom door when he was startled by the sound of the doorknob turning. Quickly, he jumped to hide in one of the empty bedrooms and peeked out the tiny crack in the door. It had to be Katherine, trying to slip out of the house undetected or Eward trying to sneak off and see her. But it was neither. Two scantily clad, thoroughly sexed women tip-toed out and down the stairs. This cannot be right! What on earth were those women doing in his brother's bedroom? His brother who was supposed to be in love with the perfect woman!

Rage poured through him, the first true feeling he had felt in days, and he waited until the women were gone and he marched with a purpose to his brother's room. Busting through the door, he glared at his brother, his voice very raspy as he scolded, "What the hell do you think you are doing? What about Katherine, you stupid son of a bitch?!"

"Katherine does not want either of us around. It is not a matter of when the time was right - if she wanted me she would not have thrown the insults she did the moment she realised I was upset!" He shook his head. "She serves to ridicule me and that is her sole purpose in life. I am not broken nor bereived - I am moving on... I am becoming the man I used to be instead of a fool who thinks he can fall in love."

Lysander sighed and looked down at his folded hands in his lap. "I am sorry this happened, had I known, I would have never tried to interfere. She seemed to me to love you and want nothing but the best for you. I mean, she was completely upset and heart broken when she thought you had killed her fiancee. Seemed to me she was completely in love with you. BUT, you would know better than me, I suppose," he shrugged and stood.

"However, I do not believe that you are completely unscathed because of this. You had turned into a decent human being, and now you are just going to go back to your old ways because something didnt work out.. I've been in your shoes, Eward.. It gets better I promise."
