Ready to be called on.
Subject: Just another day at work. Where: Oxsridge House, Barkley Square, London. Who: Xavière Sevin, a French immigrant. Warnings: None. Open to: Aimé Laurent.
Within the Oxsridge House, Xavière didn't feel so out of place. The servants, though chatty here, were composed enough not to snicker behind her back nor disheveled her about her lack of talking- she was a part-timer, and they took her for that. Currently she stood in one of the hallways, on her knees as she continued to move the damp cloth in a clockwise motion over the floor, dampening her own clothes as she did so, though almost unconcious to the feeling.
It was merely an hour after she had arrived in the house was she called upon to do an errand for one of the masters here, and the French woman gave a silent nod as she got up to pick up a few things that this master, Aimé Laurent, required. She had always liked being in the marketplace, moving to pick up things among the bustle of people, and so she was almost relieved to recieve such a task. Anything was better than wearing out her back and knees like this.
Returning with the necessary item not too long after she had set out to retrieve them, one of the elder servants guided her towards where the man was currently situated, and Xavière hesitantly placed a knock against the wood.
