Reuben St John: A Visit to the Bridge Theatre
Subject: A Visit to the Theatre
Who: Reuben St. John
Where: The Bridge Theatre
Warnings: To Be Added, probably NC-17
Open to: Evander, Robin or Piper

Reuben never felt at his most relaxed when he came to the Theatre. He was also nervous, worried that he would be recognised, frightened that he would be revealed as some sort of monstrous pervert. He never really thought that all the men here were just as he was- he was a man of god, a man who perched against sin and wickedness and now he was here, driven by his demons. They made him come here, filled his head with wicked thoughts about Fabian, about boys who he did not know but in his dreams and waking hours haunted him with their bodies and their groans. This was his only release, his only option. No matter how much de despised himself for going there, for giving in to the demons and selling his soul for only a little pleasure, he couldn't help it; he couldn't bring himself to leave.

So he paced around the foyer, uncomfortable out of his cassock and unable to relax or sit down in the seat he had been offered, pacing back and forth and no doubt causing some of the patrons- the other patrons, he reminded himself- to watch him with some interest. That forced him to sit still and take deep breaths, not wanting to be the centre of attention.

Robin peeked around the curtain which concealed a corridor, looking into the foyet - as it was after the show a few of the 'audience' had remained behind and that made the boy long to go up and ask after his performance as Romeo - was he believable? Was he speaking with enough emotion? But all he would get was a request for a hand job and two pennies. Not the advice he wanted.

Having half-washed his face free of the stage make up Robin entered the foyet, trying to be discreet. If they wanted him, they could ask - he wasn't the most pressing of boys, selling himself openly like others. He was far too shy in public to ever do that. What if he were to draw attention to himself? Someone who knew his family might be there... spotting a nervous looking man pacing the floor he offered him a small smile. He never thought the patrons got nervous, but seeing him he felt foolish to think they were unphased by renting boys...

Reuben smiled back, albeit briefly, looking over the boy. Very pretty, very pretty indeed. He breathed deeply again, leaning forward before he got to his feet and stepped towards the boy. It was getting late, and considering how busy the Theatre had already been so far tonight, surprisingly so for so early in the week, he had better swallow down his nerves and hurry everything along. Otherwise he would be late to see Fabian tomorrow and that would alter the boy's uncle that something was wrong and God help him should the Judge discover what his choosen priest had been doing. He'd never be allowed to tutor Fabian again, never see him, never mind to continue his work within the church.

He swallowed again, wetting his throat and stopped only a few inches from the...the... well, the whore. As soon as he admitted to himself what he was about to do, what he was doing in such a place, the excitement and lust began to pulse through him stronger than they had for several days now. "Are you busy at the moment?" He asked, with hardly even a quiver in his voice. The demons were getting stronger, and the fact was, Reuben wasn't overly worried about it.

Robin looked at him then gave one of his winning, beaming smiles. "Never too busy for a customer," he said, but it was in his soft, poshly lilting tone which many clients had said put them at ease. Well, less said and more displayed really. Some weren't men of many words at all. This one seemed respectable though, and if all he needed was encouragement then Robin didn't see any harm.

"Would you prefer to talk more in private here, or did you have somewhere in mind, sir?"

"Somewhere more private." He agreed, looking back around the foyer and not wanting to talk about why he was here in front of the other waiting patrons. They were, no doubt, all here for variations of the same thing, but it still made him uneasy, and the longer he was there, in a place where he could be seen by large amounts of people the greater the risk of being recognised. And he didn't want to be recognised, not before he'd spent a few minutes with the good-looking blonde boy. "Where we can talk alone."

Robin highly doubted that this man wanted to simply talk, but he smiled and nodded, walking wherever he wanted. He headed out of the theatre doors yet waited for the direction the man wished to go. "Whatever you want, sir... did you have anywhere in mind?"

Reuben followed the boy outside, glad of the darkness. It protected him, or at least, hid him and his sins for the time being, although he had no doubt that every sin he committed, even in the night, was recorded as a black mark against his name.

"Anywhere will do. Just somewhere private and close-by." He told the boy, looking him over again. He had hoped that there would be a room free inside, but if the Theatre was as busy tonight as it looked, perhaps there was no room. He would manage. Reaching into his pocket, Reuben drew a pair of coins and held them out to the blonde. "That'll be for your trouble."

Robin accepted the coins and pocketed them with a bright smile. "Thank you sir... might I suggest down the hall? There are some very comfortable rooms, if you would like... reasonable, too..." he was making conversation to ease the man's nerves and cover his own. He'd never get used to this part.

Sorry for the mix up. When you said "headed out of the theatre doors" I assumed you meant outside the theatre building itself.

"I think that would be best." Reuben agreed, glancing down the hall the boy had indicated, anticipation beginning to build in his veins. "Which of the rooms is free?" He asked, desperate to get everything done and over with, so he could go back to his respectable place in society.
