Subject: Augusta returns from her morning prayers.

Where: Christopher’s estate.

Who: Augusta Talwin

Warnings: None

Open to: Anyone that would be at the estate.

Augusta had left early that morning to go issue her daily prayers and it wasn’t until well after noon when she finally returned back to the estate. The day was pleasant enough and so she found herself dawdling more than usual. Taking rest under a particularly shady tree, Augusta smiled and looked up into the sky. Starting ones day off in God’s house was always good in her mind and she found herself not being able to help being optimistic about the rest of her day. After all, she simply had too many things to be thankful for. The Duchesse was a kind woman and had a good heart. She treated her fairly and was not cruel. There was little more she could ask for.

A little sigh was given as she pushed herself off the ground and onto her feet. She supposed that it was time to finally go inside. She had been gone for far too long, and still had work to tend to for the day. Brushing off herself, Augusta continued toward the house.

Olivia had been living out of the library, or at least when she wasn't out of doors, losing herself in the country side, since she and Lucas arrived. She missed her pets in the city, but she was truly enjoying herself here, it was perfect and she contemplated asking Christopher if she could stay until the end of the year. The only trouble with that was his sudden elusiveness, she was hardly ever able to find him and when she did it would only be a few moments before he disappeared once more. It was actually rather vexing seeing as she had discovered several of his other 'guests' in the outer houses, and she knew there was a lady in one of the guest rooms, as of that moment she wasn't able to question him about it. Charlot hadn't been much help either, his recurring mantra 'ask your brother.'

She had decided to put it out of her mind. She grabbed a book and headed outside, planning to just lay about in the tall grass, reading her book and relaxing until it was time for supper. Closing the door behind her, she had intended to go out into the fields, but the sight of a girl, probably around her own age, heading in the opposite direction, stopped her. She hadn't seen any girl her age on the grounds before and she would have known if Christopher had hired a new maid or something of that sort.

"Hello there." she offered the girl a smile since she had a natural proclivity to smile at everyone she met.

“Oh hello,” Augusta replied, slightly surprised at the other girl. Returning the smile, Augusta bowed her head a little. “I don’t believe we’ve met. I’m Augusta.” Augusta had spent the greater part of her time at the estate by Thérèse’s side keeping her company. Because she only ever left to go to prayer or to wander around the market, she hadn’t gotten the chance to meet very many people at the estate. As a result it was a little bit of a shock to see that there was another girl that appeared to be around her age.

Smoothing out her skirts, Augusta smiled and looked around the ground. It was really a beautiful day and didn’t mind the interruption at all. And if she was able to perhaps make a new friend... well... work could wait. She was sure that Thérèse would understand. Folding her hands neatly in front of herself, she turned her gaze back on the girl in front of her.

"Olivia." she smiled and bowed her head in turn. "You must be one of my brother's guests then, I hope you are comfortable here." though if Olivia were the sort of girl to put two and two together, she would have asked about what the girl was doing there since she was obviously english from the way she spoke, and it seemed everyone else taken in was french. But she didn't think about it so she did not ask.

"Lovely day isn't it?" she looked up at the sky for a moment, "I dare say I could live my life completely out of doors if the weather were to remain this nice."

“It’s lovely to meet you Olivia. Oh.. well. I suppose I am. The duchess is a guest of his. I suppose by extension then I am as well.” She hadn’t really ever thought of it very much. But she supposed that it could have been seen that way. Or it could have been seen as she was simply a servant under a different master.

“Quite.” Augusta smiled as she looked up into the sky as well. “Oh yes. I sometimes used to fancy the idea of living wild and free in the woods. Like a madwoman of some sorts.” While she still thought the idea could be quite darling, she had become much more practical since her childhood. “But then again good weather never keeps.”

"The duchess? Oh, the duchess, I knew there was a lady about the house. You see, my brother has not seen fit to tell me anything about... Well... Anything really. As you can imagine I was a little surprised to find so many about the place, I was under the impression that it was just Christopher and Charlot here before my other brother and I arrived." she did not realize that Augusta was a servant, but she would not care at all once she did. She had never put much stock in position, even if she had been raised the daughter of a lord.

Olivia, on the other hand, did not have a practical bone in her body. "Oh yes, it never does, does it? Such a pity, I could imagine being quite happy."
