Lysander sat in a large chair, a tumbler full of brandy in his hand and the half empty bottle in the other. Staring into the fire, he thought about the events of the last couple of weeks. He had returned home, scared the shit out of his brother, attended a funeral of an old mentor.. But nothing gave him more grief than asking Amandine to move in - with her husband. How IDIOTIC was he to allow this? He was more sensible than that! It wouldn't have been so bad had he not wanted her more than he wanted to breathe.

And she had made a complete ass of him at the funeral. He had been upset and she had gave him the look.. the look any other red-blooded woman gave him when they wanted him to rip their clothes off and have his way with them the remainder of the day. He had kissed her and she had kissed back.. but then had said "No."

At any rate, Lysander had attempted to talk to her the past few days but she had acted odd towards him. How was he supposed to live like this? He certainly couldn't go back on his offer to allow them to move in - not that he cared what happened to Oliver.
