Dear Jacques,

I am fresh off the boat and have taken up temporary residence in London. In a few days I am to join a Friend in his home beyond the outskirts of the city, but the length of my stay is indefinite and I would like to see the familiar face of a fellow French citizen before I leave.

I leave the arrangements to you, my friend, as I've not yet had the opportunity to acquaint myself with the city.

	Dear Augustin, You cannot imagine how glad I was to recieve your letter! England is a dull, dreary place in comparison with France and I am delighted to think of seeing another friend to the revolution in such a monarchist country.
