Greetings, Hogwarts.
You may not know who I am, but I know who you are. The name's Gossip Goblin, and have I got dirt for you! I probably know your innermost secrets, your deepest desires, and I know about those little things that even your best friend does not know that you have done.
How is this anonymous, you ask? Let's just say that I have figured out the magic behind these journals, and I know how to manipulate the system. You'll all get to read my entries, and yet you will have no idea who is writing them. Pretty devious, eh?
I'm quite crafty, and have eyes all over Hogwarts, so if you think someone's not watching, be forewarned - I probably am.
Remember, if you ever want to tip me off on something, just send me an anonymous message or a private message, and I promise not to divulge my source.
For now, I leave you with this tasty tidbit: What Hogwarts power couple, or should I say amors, currently in an on-phase, spent a day of their weekend playing dirty in the prefects' bathroom?

Gossip Goblin

Basically, Gossip Goblin will work like Gossip Girl does (and if you've never read or seen Gossip Girl, that's okay). Basically, Gossip Goblin (referred to as GG henceforth in this post) will periodically post the gossip that he or she has seen. None of us know who GG is - it can be a current character, a NPC, or even a professor! That's the beauty of anonymity. You won't even know which player is making the GG posts!
If ever you want your character featured in GG, or want a plot mentioned, just have a character send a private message or an anonymous message to GG, and GG will definitely get on that. Plus, he or she will potentially see anything that happens in public. If there is a big plot that GG wants to expose, you don't have to worry, it will be cleared with the player first.
That being said, let's have fun with GG! Does anyone have any ideas for stories that GG can break right now?

Just a reminder to everyone that you should all RUN THE FRIEND ALL BUTTON with all of your characters, since we have a nice recurring plot coming up in the form of Gossip Goblin! Yes, like Gossip Girl, but the hogwarts version. Gossip Goblin will be running out of a journal with the same name, so make sure that you are friends with ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) gossipgoblin, which will be made quite easy if you run the friend-all button.

We have decided that we're going to start instituting randomly generated mod-decided plot. What does this mean exactly? Alissa and I have randomly pulled characters from a hat (well, she randomly generated numbers, but same difference - each was random), and I made a list of random situations for these characters to encounter. These plots will have no real bearing on the futures of your characters (unless you want them to), these will just be fun little situations for you. If your character is in the following list, please have them RP the situation, or at the very least, mention it in a journal post if it can't really be acted out, by this Sunday (the next plots will be released next Sunday).
This week's randomly generated plot:
Diego Cartaya falls off of his broom during quidditch practice and breaks his arm, thus sending him to the hospital wing, where he is treated by Libby Hornby.
Yuki Hotaru falls asleep during Defense Against the Dark Arts class, where she talks in her sleep, saying bad things about the class and the professor, causing her to lose fifty points for Gryffindor, deducted by Teddy Lupin.
Sebastian Munch walks around all day with toilet paper on his shoe, which was stuck in by Peeves. He doesn't notice for a good portion of the day, and spends the rest of the day trying to get it off.
Lily Potter and Cody Jordan are both studying late in the Gryffindor Common Room and strike up a conversation.
Chuck Ackerley and Scarlet Finnigan are both given detention, for different reasons (up to the player), and fill their midnight detention together polishing trophies.

Hi all! Ashley here with my third character, Cody Jordan.
Cody is the son of Angelina Johnson (who plays for the Harpies) and Lee Jordan (who continues to maintain the Potterwatch radio show). He's a lot like his dad: a big prankster who thinks people take life way too seriously for their own good. He's a pretty straight forward and honest guy, not the most responsible, but a good friend when someone needs one.

Hey everyone - this is an important mod post, so please read the whole thing. Reply to this post (only once per player) to let me know that you've read this.
First, I'd like to point everyone's attentions to a couple of issues that have been brought to my attention and some new rules.
-Please make sure that no action post goes untagged! If it's open to anyone, throw your character in - we don't want to see any untagged posts!
-Also, try to get to all of your tags in a timely manner. It's just a personal pet peeve when it takes a month to finish a thread, especially when the player is tagging other posts.
-Remember that you should be posting an action post as well as a journal post for your character, at a minimum, once every two weeks, preferably more than this.
-Unless it's absolutely necessary, try not to reply to your own character's posts with another character (there are some times when this is necessary for the progression of plot).
-I've posted a warning for sweeps - this time, it will be for those who have not posted either a journal entry or an action post. Next time, I may sweep if you haven't done both, so just make sure that you're posting both action threads and journal entries!
Second, run the FRIEND-ALL button because we have some new characters!

Hello everyone. So I thought that I was going to stop at Yuki, but then I feel in love with a Pb and had to keep goin. I'm Suri (Fletcher/Brigitte/Greta/Yuki) bringing you Bayley Tremlett, 5th year Gryffindor and Blair Tremlett's little sister.
What you need to know about Bayley is that she's an animal rights activist and very naive. She'll believe almost anything you tell her, and is basically a rape case or kidnapping waiting to happen. Thing is, she probably wouldn't even know it was rape until someone told her it was. She's way too trusting and sweet. Nothing troubles her besides animal issues, and that's the problem.

Hey guys, Brooke here, with my last character (I promise). I love Neville, I always play Neville (those of you that have played with me for years know that he's my all time favorite character to play), so I just HAD to pick him up here.
You guys know all there is to know about Neville. He's currently 41. He was married to Hannah Abbott for twelve years, but they divorced in the past year since she just could not deal with him being at Hogwarts for nine months out of the year and having very little time to spend with her, especially since they never had any children.
Needless to say, Neville is a bamf (as the facebook group says). He's the head of Gryffindor house, deputy headmaster, and just plain awesome. He's definitely grown up since his days at Hogwarts, but he's honestly just as cool.
So, who wants to plot with Neville? He'd love to have some students to mentor, as well as teachers to befriend.
Also, while I'm at it, Ariel and Emerson are a little low on plot, does anyone want to plot with either of them, either?

Alright, my name is Emily but most people call me Smemily (Suh-mem-ilee) and then there are variations like Smem, Smemy, Smemers but you can call me Emily if you want, I respond to pretty much anything. I'm 18 years old, I live in Ontario, Canada and I'm your new Paul Weasley! Son of Penelope and Percy Weasley. My lovely PB friend here is Eddie Redmayne and we're all looking forward to meeting you cool cats and getting some drama going. I'm only almost every night, when I don't have to work and even then I get off at 8:30 so don't be surprised if you see me lurking all over the place.

Hey all! Allie here, with character #3: Libby Hornby, school nurse.
This is Libby's first year on staff, and she is absolutely loving it. She's young (so young, in fact, that some of the 6th and 7th years might recognise her from her own days as a student), but she definitely knows her stuff. She's very friendly, a little bit quirky, and sincerely enjoys working with the students and staff of Hogwarts.
That said, do we have plot? Backstory? Anything else? Her quarters and office are located in the hospital wing, adjacent to the infirmary, so she's available day and night for...pretty much anything.
