WHAT: Sillyness!

Rating? PG-13? Hehe. We'll see!

After her conversation with Alex via journals, Victoria made quick work of collecting two bottles from her stash of butter beer and slipping out of the dorms without catching a lot of attention. Most of the students in the Commons probably thought she was going out on an impromtu round of the hallways of Hogwarts, but such was not the case tonight!

She skirted through the hallways and cut corners rather quickly until she finally came upon the kitchen and slipped within its doors. Within seconds, she was shrugging out of her robes due to the heat. This left her in her pajamas, a pair of gray cotton drawstring shorts and a matching gray tee shirt. Blonde hair was restrained loosely in a ponytail. She smiled to the house elf that skirted by her in the dimly lit kitchen, then hopped to sit up on one of the counters while she waited for Alex.

The door was sure to open at any moment!

Alex was thankful for his naturally rosy complexion as he ridiculously felt like he'd slayed a dragon for all of Victoria's excitement over something so simple. He felt the heat rise in his cheeks as she took the cookies and the mug.

"A goose?" He looked at her a puzzled a moment and then laughed. "You try walking through there in a tee shirt and shorts and see how warm you are," he grinned and shook his head, his hair falling a bit in his eyes. He popped open his bottle of butterbeer after putting the other items on the counter and poured some into the frosty glass. He took a long drink, closing his eyes and smiled. "Mmm," he sighed happily.

"I got some ice cream." He held up the tins. "You want some? If you're going for the splurge, might as well go all out," he teased.

Hey, it was exciting that he wasn't telling her to just go get it herself! Cody probably would have! She, too, popped the top from her butterbeer and poured the liquid into the frosty glass.

"Newsflash, Alex! I am in a tee shirt and shorts!" She hid her grin behind the butterbeer mug as she took a sip, then set it down next to her on the counter once again. That hit the spot!

"Ice cream! Do you got plans for me or something Alex? Fattening me up for your Christmas ham or something? Gonna serve your family a little Putnam?" This was all said while she snagged one of the tins, of course, then popped it open. "Score! Chocolate! My favorite!" She dipped a finger into it then licked it off. Spoons were overrated.

"Yeah, but you didn't walk in there," he smirked and pinched her leg playfully. Alex looked down at the counter and drank some more of his butterbeer. He really had to stop touching her.

Alex laughed at her commentary. That was one of the reasons he liked hanging out with her. She had slightly off kilter sense of humour and he never knew what might fly out of her mouth next.

He raised a brow as she took a taste with her finger, consciously not looking at her mouth. "You know I do believe they have spoons around here. If you don't know how to use one I can teach you." He grinned at her and looked through some of the drawers where she was sitting. Alex finally found a couple and pulled them out. He held one in front of her. "This is a spoon. It's a handy utensil for eating frozen confections." Alex raised a brow and smirked, waiting to see if she'd take it.

Victoria yelped, and twitched when Alex pinched her leg. "Ohh bugger off you!" She hissed, and swatted playfully at his hand.

Meanwhile, while Alex was hinting at proper dining etiquette lessons for Victoria, she simply dug her forefinger into the chocolate ice cream again and brought her winnings to her mouth. After she precariously (as well as teasingly) sucked her finger clean of the ice cream, Vic snatched one of the spoons from Alex's hand, licked it, and stuck it to her nose.

"Don't complicate my gorging, Alex!"

He laughed when she swatted at him and pointed his finger at her. "I'll get you good before the night's out, Putnam," he joked.

Alex dipped his own spoon into his tin of ice cream and paused with the spoon midway to his mouth. Jeez, was she doing that on purpose? His eyes were drawn to her mouth and the way she was sucking the ice cream off her finger. He coughed slightly when he realized how stupid he must look and finished taking a bite. The cold treat certainly helped cool down the flush his cheeks took on.

He laughed distracted thankfully by her comment. "Hey, I'm not trying to complicate things. It's just a more practical method unless you want to freeze the tip of your finger off." Alex shrugged and took another bite. "Or you could just use one of those cookies to scoop some out?" He thought for a moment. "That's what this ice cream is missing. Chocolate bits or marshmallows or something."

A cookie? "A cookie! Brill, Alex! If Hogwarts had cooking classes, you'd totally get an OWL in it."

That said, Victoria snatched up a cookie then dunked it down into the tin of ice cream. A second or so later she had the delicious treat up and out of the tin, and crammed about half of that cookie in her mouth. It really was a wonder she didn't weigh a ton with how she ate!
