Victoria giggled, then cut herself short when she realized she was giggling like a giddy little girl. Now why had she done that? She didn't have much time to contemplate such things, because Alex had chosen to poke her in the side, so she swatted his hand playfully, then covered the spot that he'd poked with her hand.

When he was away snagging snacks... Victoria found herself blushing a bit. But, why?! She was just in the kitchen with Alex, goofing off! She'd goofed off with the boy before, of course it had never been alone... and he'd sure grown up a lot over the summer... did she have a... nah, couldn't be!


"Ohh, you win at life." She exclaimed when he returned, the pinkness of her face hidden in the dim light of the kitchen. She relieved his arms of the cookies, and one of the mugs, which she plopped on the counter, then she caught sight of his arms.

"Are you turning into a goose or something, Alex?!"
