Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Lisa and OTA
What: Lisa gets caught on the library door
Where: Just outside the library
When: After classes
Rating: TBD

Lisa spent very little time in the library. She had nothing against the students who set up camp there, but she, personally, had trouble focusing in a room full of people trying to talk quietly and failing miserably with their whispers that may as well have been a shout, of dusty books, and, most notably, the pathetic groans of students who knew that no matter how much cramming they attempted, they were doomed.

Instead, Lisa had taken to making her visits to the librarian's domain nothing more than mere quickies- track down the book and get out. Little did she know, however, that the library didn't take well to being used and had already plotted its revenge. Passing through the door, Lisa was in midstep when she suddenly felt herself being jerked back. The strap of her book bag had managed to get itself stuck on the handle, and with a small yelp of surprise, Lisa tumbled rather ungracefully to the ground.

She tried to be optomistic- maybe no one had seen! But she knew better, really, as she lifted her gaze up from the floor to see who had witnessed the spectacle.

Lisa couldn't help but grin broadly at Alex's response. At least he had done something embarrassing in public. "That's not so bad. Everyone gets startled when they're woken up suddenly!"

It was unbelievable, really, that so many people this year seemed not to know her name. She liked to think she wasn't that forgetable, but what could she do about it, really? At least Al still knew who she was! "Lisa," she answered, her smile faltering slightly. "It's okay. Different houses and all that."

Alex felt like an idiot now. He ran his hand through his hair again feeling a bit embarrassed and mildly uncomfortable. She was pretty and sweet and it wasn't like he hadn't seen her around, it was just he was so bad with names.

"Yeah, that's right. Sorry about that." He bit his lip trying to resist the urge to chew on his finger as he tended to do when he was nervous. "So, um, I was about to go outside and get some air before it got dark. I guess, I'll see you around." He paused and looked at her with a half smile. "Unless you want to come along?"

"It's okay," she assured him once more. Lisa wasn't one to hold things against people. She might be a touch upset if he managed to forget it again, but she was sure she'd forgotten someone's name once or twice.

She was about to leave him be, when he invited her to come along, and her eyes lit up slightly at the invitation. "Oh, sure!" Lisa was definitely an outdoorsy sort. "If you don't mind, I mean."

His smile widened when she accepted the invitation. "Wouldn't have asked if I minded," he said with a wink. Alex gestured for her walk ahead. "Just making sure you clear the door first," he teased and followed along, getting into step beside her.

"As much as I like the library, I can't help but think it's a waste to spend a day like this inside," he said conversationally. Alex couldn't wait to get out into the fresh air. The castle always felt so stifling to him.
