Mod Announcement
I have placed an ad for our game on some RPG communities, so it's possible that newbies will be arriving shortly. Fresh blood is good, so please try and include them!

Plans are being made for the fall semester, which will mean a little tightening of the way things flow around here. No, I'm not going to start being an actual disciplinary mod (be serious, people), but it does mean that we're getting back to basics. This place is still a school, not a supernatural hang out, which means that you need to find reasons for your people to be here. If you have a character here who has control of their abilities, doesn't need any of the classes but still sticks around, they either need to get a job or gtfo.

But fear not! Dr. O'Shea is working toward making TJS an expansive education facility for the fall. That means a registered and proper boarding school for underaged students, and an accredited university for the older ones. So those of you whose kids might have a handle on their powers but feel more comfortable being themselves (or can't really attend traditional college because of physical handicaps), there is an option for you. [And if your character has no interest in a degree, and has no issue with abilities, and no actual place here, then they are just being unreasonable and need to gtfo.]

I know that summer is coming, and with it is usually a sweep of new characters because those of you who were buried under books for over a month just want to play. When applying new characters, please keep in mind what was mentioned earlier (students need a reason to be here, staff needs qualification and a clean background), but also check out the Wanted Characters page. Also keep in mind some diversity (meaning not just skinny, pretty white boys and thin brunette white girls). There are other glorious people of many, many races out there! (But don't be racist. I will not accept a black voodoo lady or a native american spirit healer or some such thing. That's just tacky.)

I have deleted everyone's holds. If you want them back, rehold them. They are only getting kept until the next week change.

The announcements are long, so please read them, but if you're in a hurry, these are the bullet points:

- Students need a reason to be here. If they aren't actually learning, it might be time for them to go get lives. This isn't a supernatural malt shoppe.

- TJS is working to become an accredited college in the fall, as well as a legally registered boarding school for minors.

- When applying new characters, please refer to the Wanted Characters list. Also, try and get some diversity all up in this joint. We're a white washed mess.

- I have deleted everyone's holds. If you want them back, rehold them. They are only getting kept until the next week change.

TJS used to be a very vibrant and thriving place. Let's get back to thriving, peeps! And don't forget Secrets are due on the 20th!

-Mod Jacqui
