I always loved Earl Grey, boring me, and lately I've been addicted to Yogi Green Teas...

I found half of this review lying around on my harddrive, and just wrote the background info on Assam tea history today (Note: I can't claim to be a historian in any capacity. I can only provide my interpretation of the sources available to me and probably a bit of guess work. I'm kind of like Wikipedia; I may have the right end of the stick but I can't guarantee to not have factual errors here and there). The tea itself is long gone. Can't even remember when I wrote the actual review.

This Assam was bought at Chaplon and their according to their product information the tea production outside of China for the public market was founded by Robert Bruce, an englishman who in 1823 discovered that tea plants were growing wildly in the Assam region of India. It took sixteen years to put the production into system and send the first Assam tea on the market.

Welcome.

I've had this community for my tea related posts for a while now, and in the future will be crossposting both there and here.

This is a table of teas I've got at the moment, a lot of which are samples so the collection isn't really as big as it looks.

This is a table of teas I've had in the past. Not sure why I'm keeping this one actually. I can see the usefulness of an inventory, but this is probably just obsessiven.
