Who: James Potter Attention: Lily, Lupin, Sirius, and Dumbledore. Where: Hogsmeade When: Late night/Early Morning
It had definately surprised the hell out of James when on his way to work, as he stopped by his favorite little coffee shop, he spotted what looked like Peter Petigrew. He should have shaken it off. He had only caught a glimpse of his backside. But James being himself, went to investigate. And as he rounded the corner, wand at the ready, he was hit with a stunning spell out of no where. Soon his wand was out of his hand and there was Peter, ready to fire. The rest seemed a bit of a blur. He remembered being in a dark place. No windows. No sounds. Just complete silence.
It was unnerving. He lost track of time. Of days. He had no idea how long he had been gone. All he knew was that Peter was responcible for taking him away from his family. And on top of that he was sure Peter was up to something. And his suspisions were confirmed when Peter had come in one day and sliced his arm taking some of his blood. He had muttered something about the dark lord. And that snapped James out of it. Whatever Peter was up to, he had to try to stop.
Usually Peter would come in atleast twice to three times a day, and when he hadn't come back for his second visit, James decided to try and trasnform. He wasn't sure how it would work with being bound, but the mention of the dark lord gave him the strength to try. He focused all of his energy on changing into Prongs. And after a few trys, he was successful. And thankfully when he changed, the ropes that bound him didn't hold.
After sniffing around for a few minutes he had found a door, he knew it would be locked so he decided to put his antlers to use, and continuously head butted the door until it broke open. Stepping out of the room he discovered he was in an old beaten down shack, he didn't take the time to look around, instead he ran out of there as fast as he could. He tried to pick up on scents, anything, and it paid off. Even through the darkness of the night he could smell Remus. Or rather Moony. He followed to trail to the shrieking shack and transformed back into his human form. He was close. He needed help, he had no food, barely any water in God knows how long. James searched the old shack and found an old cloke, he covered himself up and walked out into the cold air. Once he was at the three broomsticks, he walked in and leaned against the counter. "I need an owl... please..." He could tell they had no idea who he was. He probably looked a mess, most likely a full beard and disheveled at the least. Once an owl was brought to him, he scratched notes to Remus, Lily, Sirius and Dumbledore, requesting them to meet him at the shrieking shack. He sent the owl on its way and grabbed a butterbeer putting it on Dumbledores tab. Hopefully the old lad wouldn't mind. With that, he made his way back to the shrieking shack and laid down on an old cot as he waited.
