Who: Rodolphus & Tonks What: Panicking Where: Tonks' flat When: Night Warnings: None at the moment but with those two it can go from G to NC-17 in a second ;)
He was back. He was back.
Bellatrix had been right. Snape had been wrong. Rodolphus didn't know how she'd done it but somehow his wife - or someone else; Rodolphus wasn't sure - had figured out how to bring Him back. Rodolphus should have destroyed that damned want while he could but now it was too late. The Dark Lord was back and the second war could start any second. The Dark Mark had been hurting all day; there was no doubt that he really was alive. Rodolphus had spent all day trying not to panic or think about Tonks too much. It was dangerous for him to see her tonight and if something ever happened to her, he would never be able to forgive himself. But he had to see her; she had to know. Maybe he could make her run away; leave the country and hide. But the moment he thought this, he knew she would never leave voluntarily. He hated himself for putting her in a position like this, but she was the only person he could talk to and he couldn't stay away. Not tonight. He needed her more than he'd realised before.
When Bellatrix was gone, he Flooed to the Leaky Cauldron first, then back to Tonks' flat. He couldn't risk Bellatrix finding out where he went. He stepped out of the Floo and saw her at once, sitting on the couch, waiting for him and looking worried. He stared at her for a long moment, the panic clear on his face, and swallowed hard. He shook his head and took a deep, shaky breath.
