"He had it hexed, but not very well," Remus replied, accepting a cup of tea. "He's upset, obviously. I've tried talking him down off the proverbial ledge. Hopefully he doesn't do anything stupid."
Sipping his tea quietly, he closed his eyes and tried to stop his thoughts from racing. He felt the teacup rattle against the saucer.
"Sorry, sorry," he repeated, setting the cup down. It wasn't like him to get so shaken up. "I'm so bloody tired. I should go back to bed. You're welcome to stay if you want to finish your tea or whatever, but I don't want to keep you. I'm sure you're swamped at the DMLE."
