Who: Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks What: A moon-time meeting Where: Diagon Alley/possibly Lupin&Black flat When: Early afternoon Warnings: None at the moment
Why he'd taken the morning shift at Flourish and Blotts on the day of the moon was really beyond him at this point. Sore and exhausted and fighting a pounding headache, Remus stumbled out of the shoppe bundled in a heavy cloak and scarf, and made his way down the windy, leaf-scattered streets of Diagon Alley towards his favorite tea shoppe. He planned on getting a cup of chamomile and then flooing home via the tea shoppe fireplace.
He got his cuppa and a squashy armchair in the corner beckoned temptingly. He settled down in it, sipping at the tea and nibbling on a piece of chocolate he'd also purchased on impulse. Warming a little inside, he shed his cloak and tucked his legs up into the chair.
He was not looking forward to the moon tonight. Not that he every really looked forward to moons, but with James still missing and Sirius a distant and distracted friend, he feared he'd be alone both during and after. He'd thought about owling Lily but didn't want to worry her. Still cautious about Snape, he'd scraped together some savings to buy enough of the Wolfsbane potion for this moon from another source. His employer at the book-shoppe had kindly fronted him an extra day's pay to cover the costs, but it still put a dent in his wallet and he wasn't sure he should really be spending more money at a tea shoppe, but really, he didn't want to bother himself brewing it at home. Besides, it was slightly comforting to have people milling about in the shop instead of being at home tucked in on the couch alone.
He dug in his satchel and retrieved a handkerchief, blowing his nose to stop it from running thanks to the shock of going from the cold street to the warm cafe. A witch nearby eyed him cautiously, as if afraid of catching whatever ailed him, and he pointedly ignored her gaze. He knew he looked peaky, but honestly, didn't have the energy to care.
