Normally Narcissa could hear coming across the floor, they'd spent years in the house and she knew his footsteps across that floor like she knew the heating of her own heart. However, she'd been so lost in her thoughts this time she hadn't heard him coming and she closed the book and slapped it onto the night stand with a look of shock and awe. How did he sneak in without her hearing him? "Not yet." she said, moving to rest her back against the headboard. "It was good, and then I started to wonder where you'd gone off too." she teased, smirking a bit.
