Tonks couldn't help herself and laughed at that, "James was the brawn? Really? I never quite figured him for the.. Well, type. I mean, look at Harry. The boy's got guts but he still looks like a particularly strong gust of wind could come along and knock him on his skinny white bum. And Sirius the looks? Really?"
She eyed him then when he patted him stomach, trying not to laugh, "Yeah, you really are another one that doesn't look quite.. Formidable. Though I have to say, actually wanting to put on weight, now that's just crazytalk right there. Get Molly to cook some deserts for you for like, a week. See what Sirius has to say then."
Tonks was practically beaming when she looked back up to him from the list he gave her, nodding happily until she forced herself to at least show some amount of impulse control, list or no. "Well, there you have it, then! There's our brilliant plan! Wait until it gets really bloody hot, and arrest everyone in long sleeves! It's perfect! Save for the whole.. Wait until it gets bloody hot bit," She visibly deflated at that until she cocked an eyebrow over the idea of Order tattoos, "Really? Tattoos?" Tonks sat back at that, looking up in thought for a second, "Badass as those would be, don't get me wrong, they would be amazing.. Wasn't Moody in the Order? Can we imagine that getting a tattoo? And then wanting to show everyone? And Sirius? Him and needles? Oh sure he acts all brave, but would you be the one there holding his hand when that came about?" She grinned, but it faltered as a shadow of something else entirely seemed to creep into their conversation. She remembered what he'd said about taking out the rage of the beast on himself when he'd transformed, about the violence of the transformations.. And she wondered, then, why he too wore long sleeves. Tonks watched as he ran a hand across his shoulder but he spoke before she could ask the question that had been forming in her mind.
For a second she sat there, stunned as though his farewell had bounced off her until she hadn't hear him. It surprised her somewhat that she did want to know about why he wore long sleeves, about how he wanted a mark of his own. But she'd already pried more than enough horrors from the man for one afternoon, hell if she kept at it it was only a matter of time until he began to wonder if she was trying to interrogate him or outright torture him. So she nodded and stood up, his list practically burning a hole in her pocket and she could already feel her enthusiasm grow at the prospect of going to her superiors with new, viable information. "Oh please, it was my pleasure I'm just.. Sorry to have brought up.. The things I did." Forcing herself to stand straighter, taller, she reached out a hand to him and smiled, "But if it's any consolation.. The information you've given me will be put to the best use, as soon as I leave here I'll head straight back to the Department. And.. if ever you need any help in the Ministry with your legislation, I'll be honoured to do whatever I can."
