"I don't know if I'd say I'm completely sane," he joked before sobering again. "I've been this way nearly as long as I can remember. If I didn't try to stay positive and take care of myself, I'd've died years ago. But really, like I said, I'm lucky. There's a lot of people who don't have anyone waiting the morning after with bandages and a cup of tea."
He was somewhat touched by her genuine interest. It had been a long time since he'd talked this frankly about his condition and it was weirdly therapeutic to put it all out there. He was also slowly finding an ally in Tonks...if she had connections at the Ministry, she had the opportunity to influence legislation. That was a whole other, involved discussion he'd save for another day.
"As for the fun stuff," he said teasingly. "You know, the regular party sorts of things...cold, flu, pneumonia...err, I've had that at least four times...um, once there was a blood infection which was unexpected and very fun...broken limbs...a few concussions. You know, that sort of fun that people only dream of having...I'm lucky to get it all."
